Science & Technology Weekend – 22nd & 23rd August 2026
See an array of scientific experiments demonstrating the most interesting effects of physics and chemistry. This weekend is fun for all the family. On display will be experiments involving:
- Gyroscopes
- Chaotic Pendulums
- Wimshurst Machine
- Teslas Coils
- Leyden Jars
- Magnetism
- Ultra Violet Light and many more.
The museum will be open and the ‘Sir William Prescott Engine’ will be in operation from 10:30-16:00.
The museum is an industrial environment containing moving machinery, steep stairs and hard surfaces. Children must remain supervised at all times.

The Hampton & Kempton Waterworks Railway will also be providing train rides on the above dates.
